Taj Campton Place

The rooms are exceptional, the mattress was so comfortable and the room size was HUGE. The hotel staff are so friendly and the services and facilities were top tier. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The property is so central to everything and I would book to stay here again.

The hotel provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff demonstrates exceptional friendliness and are most helpful! I enjoyed a remarkable dining experience at the bar, where the culinary offerings were of the highest caliber.

Comfortable room with helpful room service when needed. Great view of Union Square, with good restaurants and many activities nearby. Concierge very knowledgeable and helpful.

Great and welcoming service generally by all staff who are all truly exceptional. Typically Taj! You can’t beat them at that. Set menu and only served in the room till 9 pm . Kitchen wholly inflexible on menu. For instance they have club sandwich. When I asked them to make it a vegetarian club sandwich they said they can’t do it!! . Really I thought!. No freshly squeezed juices, Very limited (2) Indian veg selections on menu. Poha for breakfast and Paneer Makhni . The Room service wouldn’t allow me to speak to the chef. Not what you expect of the Taj but then they have adapted well to America to cater to the market here and what’s expected including by offering free coffee and pastry in the morning in the lobby. Same cup cake all three days I stayed. No variation . Was disappointed. I ordered hot milk one night with haldi and pepper at 9-10 pm and they obliged despite the kitchen being closed . Next day I ordered only hot milk and they remembered to serve it with Haldi and pepper. Now that’s the Taj I know!. Otherwise I had to remind myself that I was staying in a Taj.
